Here at Jet we have a portfolio of landlords who use us regularly for both small and large works on their properties One of our landlords contacted us recently as had been having issues with the small kitchen offshot roof Over the years various contractors had been called out to the property by the landlord who had carried out a number of repairs The tenant had been reporting issues with water ingress and damp for some time When we checked the roof we advised the landlord that further “repairs” were no longer viable as the roof had simply come to the end of its life He agreed with us and gave us the go ahead to simply remove and replace the entire roof We provided tower scaffold and a skip for waste removal The roof was stripped back to the timbers where there was an obvious issues with woodworm so before work could move forward we needed to address this issue Timbers that were beyond repair were replaced and the others chemically treated Insulation was then installed New breathable felt was installed with new slate laths
Eternit slates were then installed New leadwork was installed along with a new row of coping stones New fascia’s were installed with new guttering This work was carried out and completed in under 3 days with no inconvenience to the tenant
